No Phil and Paul on NBC Sport Gold?
Anyone know what'southward up? I know the Aussies took over SBS, only Phil and Paul are still on NBCSN, so I assumed they'd be the announcers on the NBC Spirts Gilded app. The tour's non the same without them!

I was surprised by this after I purchased gilded before today, too. I emailed support and you'll simply go the Aussies with gold, even if y'all're in the Usa. Pretty disappointed. They're fine announcers, merely it'southward just not the same experience for me without Phil and Paul. I thought gold worked perfectly fine in previous years when they were on the stream, also.

Same! I'yard going to have to lookout alive and then watch once more with Paul and Phil. They're non just announcers; it's a whole zen thing.
I yet miss Al Trautwig; I'thousand not almost change when it comes to TdF.

Phil and Paul's coverage is geared towards the boob tube viewers, not the streamers. They have commercial breaks and practice ad reads and stuff similar that. The NBC sports aureate is commercial free and then they accept some other set of commentators that don't have to tailor their commentary to traditional television viewers.

Wow, glad I didn't get sports gold this year. Terminal year was pretty skilful with Phil and Paul taking over coverage over the second half of most stages.

The gilded commentators are adept. I can't recall their names but they seem to run a adept show. I do like Phil and Paul though. Reminds me of babyhood summers watching the tour.

Yep. Got confirmation yesterday it'll exist Matthew Keenan & Robbie McEwan on the entire Gold feed commentary. No Phil or Paul.
Accept to say the sound constantly cutting out is incredibly annoying. They need to clean that upward.

Quite disappointed with Matt and Robbie tho they are trying. They don't have a clue about the castles and other historical landmarks along the route, 1 role I always really enjoyed. Seems to be a lack of preparation, they don't bring the drama similar Phil always does.

I'm sooooo disappointed not to hear Phil and Paul. It has actually ruined my viewing experience not to have their voices on the broadcast. I realize the Aussies are the new, younger voices... and I see what people are proverb about Paul and Phil getting too onetime. Only their voices are but iconic and and so connected to the upshot for me. Gah.
So I could hear them on NBCSN but NOT NBC Gold?

Am I the only one or is the commentary stuttering on NBC sports gold? It has been happening on both stage 1 and 2. It'south getting really annoying to here shitty audio when I payed for an actress package.

Phil and Paul need to retire...they routinely get riders names wrong, and they don't know the route either, declaring intermediate sprints in the incorrect spot . They were fun back in their twenty-four hour period, simply it is time.

I second this. Paul is terrible in this aspect, especially in the final. His voice is superb though.
By and large I prefer Robbie and Keenan. I did catch Robbie claiming Katusha was still registered in Russian federation. Alive commentary must be tough

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I ended up asking for a refund. The alive feed was cut out so badly on the offset couple stages, I could barely watch.
